Welcome to Pokeracle.
This website offers a few tools that we hope will be useful for serious poker players.
The first one is PokeracleXL , an add-in that allows you to compute hand odds directly in Excel. Your poker spreadsheets can now be used for more than just keeping track of your bankroll. You will no longer have to log in to online calculators anymore, just download it once to your computer and it will always be available to you. We will also have a separate spreadsheets section, dealing with odds, bankroll, and anything else that might be useful.
There will also be a player database available soon. While this is not a new idea, we think that we will be able to make it more useful than the previous efforts. An announcement will be made once everything is ready for use.
We would like to explore the subject of poker bots. Most players cringe at the idea of bots, as the general concensus is that bots are "evil" and bad for the game. Many players think that bots are artificial intelligences that will inevitably fleece any player in their paths, but we believe that even a mediocre player will be any bot in a ring game. Thinking about how to design bots will make you think about your own game, and should be very beneficial for your play.
Articles will be published dealing with all the above topics, and anything else deemed relevant. Article submissions are not only accepted, but encouraged! If you have spreadsheets that you think might be useful for others, please share as well.
Finally, there is a forum section to discuss published articles, uses of PokeracelXL, poker bots, and more. By having an active discussion forum, everyone will gain knowledge and, hopefully, come out even further ahead at the tables!
